Several standout high school track athletes from our community are now making waves at the collegiate level, continuing their athletic careers with great success. After successful high school careers, these athletes have taken their talents to reputable university track programs, showcasing their dedication and passion for the sport.

Sprinter Jeremiah Rice, now at East Central University, is beginning his second season competing in the 200- and 400-meter events. Former Seminole High School high jump standout Kaylyn Cotner has already earned Female Track Athlete of the Year honors representing East Central University. Meanwhile, distance runners Kadin Marshall, now at the University of Jamestown, Josh Armstrong at Murray State College, and Connor Childs at East Central University have impressed coaches with their endurance and have set personal records in the 8,000-meter event.

High school coach Bobby Sanford expressed pride in his former athletes’ achievements. "These athletes were leaders on our team, and it’s exciting to see them continue that at the next level. They’re representing our community and proving that hard work pays off."

As the season progresses, the town of Seminole is excited to follow their continued success and cheer on these talented young athletes as they make their mark in college athletics.
