Seminole High School

On Wednesday, October 9, the Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) hosted a Power-Up Day event. This was a day filled with hands-on activities that allowed participants to explore the inner workings of maintaining a reliable power grid. Interested students had to submit applications by September 6, along with a reference letter, to be considered for this remarkable opportunity. Five individuals were ultimately selected, including Theron Pierce, a senior at Seminole High School (SHS). This experience ignited Theron's interest in pursuing a career as a power lineman. SHS is grateful to CVEC for providing this valuable learning experience that supports Theron's future aspirations.
