This evening, 11 students were inducted into the National Honor Society at SHS. The National Honor Society honors juniors and seniors who excel in scholarship, character, leadership, and service. To qualify, students must achieve a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.50 and complete 20 hours of volunteer community service for a non-profit organization. Additionally, students must participate in at least two extracurricular activities each year since 9th grade. The selection committee chose the students by evaluating their character through an essay analysis and two formal recommendation letters focused on character and leadership. SHS takes pride in both our current and newly inducted members of the National Honor Society.
